flipping rear wheels around

(1/1)

mrhonda700xx:
everyone tells me that if  i flip my rear wheels around it would make it wider would that really work?

Overlord:
Mate remember spinning the wheels will expose all your bottom uni joints and boots could leave them out in the oppen to get smashed the wheel protects them the way the offset is. Wayne Matlock uses the standard offset as he believes they are harder to turn when wider. There is an ITP option to run 10inch rims which is better than turning your rims around some people like em some dont. Mate stick with your standard offset its the best for all round riding and now Kenda are suppling the Kutter XC in 11inch for the 700xx. So now you can pick between Maxxis and Kenda and I am sure more tyre brands will follow.

mrhonda700xx:
thanks for the info dude. i asked this because i would like a wider back but i think i will keep it like that...thanx

xxHONDAxx:
I flipped my stocks around for kicks and giggles and the handling went down hill.  I run highly off set rims on my trucks and it made them better but for the XX it caused to front to push more and it didn't "hook up" no where near as good.  They only stayed like that for 30 min.
