Steering

Does any else think there bike under steers real bad ??? at speed it feels freaky taking tight courners!!! I think the front wheels need to be  raked !!!

scuzz:
It's even worse with paddle tires on it. I dropped the front tire pressure and it did a little better.

OzLinc:
This has been an issue with some outlaw owners too. The problem is the grip at the rear is just overpowering the front; Honda have tried to overcome this with the narrow rear tires but still it will understeer.

Outlaw owners have learn't that it's not about setting the quad up so it steers better. It's about the way you ride the thing, you need to move your weight forward while cornering......with a SRA quad you natureally move your weight back, giving greater traction. With IRS you already have that traction.

Nice !!!! that sounds about rite,, it does feel like the front is pushing you though the turns,,, Im off on a big two day trail ride this weekend and the guys I ride with all ride 450 two wheels so I have to fly to keep up,, Im normaly ride a worked 07 450r that has power to burn and drifts though the turns. So it will be a real test to make the XX keep up,, Ill try to ride her as up forward as I can!!! ,,,,
Ill post some pics on monday to show you boys,,, We ride at mack one so l should have a good ride report for you or a pic of a new XX wraped around a tree ;D ;D ;D

HondaPosterBoy:
Very true about the weight to the front.  That is why my XX handles so much better with new handle bars that are farther forward and more straight.  This allowed me to get the weight to the front more in cornering.
