Starting to work on hotrod parts
« on: July 17, 2008, 09:19:29 PM »
What's up guys? My name is Kenny and I own KDS Racing. I have built a pretty solid reputation in the Raptor community. I am feeling out the market for the XX. I will be ordering a new cylinder head from the dealer. The first thing I am having built is cams. I will then have the head 3-D scanned for piston design purposes.

I would like to release;
  A well designed intake
  bored TB
  cams
  higher compression pistons
  CNC ported heads
  big bore and possibly stroker kits
  I also have a few small tricks for power

I have a very good relationship with a guy that builds duals for the Raptor and a company that does adjustable ignitions, they are both interested in this market as well. I would be interested in hearing any areas that you guys would like addressed or have concerns about.

While I know the Raptor is the enemy, we have been able to nudge the power numbers up to about 78-80 hp with a stock displacement engine using dyno tires on an "average" dyno. The engines are extremely reliable. I would love to have the opportunity to do the same for the XX. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time,
Kenny

I don't own one yet but you may already know this but the engines are very similar to that of the XR650 dirt bike so you can check the aftermarket parts for those out to get some ideas.  ???

Kenny my man, glad your gonna offer Honda guys stuff. Ive ran some of his parts on my builds with zero issues with quality and power as expected. Someone needs to atleast send a TB to him.
